We are always looking for great volunteers to help serve and make our league better for our young lady athletes! Come to a board meeting and see what you can do! DUST DEVILS SOFTBALL
Thanks for making registration day a success! Please let your friends and family know that our next walk in registration is this Saturday, Febuary 16th, from 9am-3pm at the police station at 2430 S. Ellsworth Rd. Mesa AZ 85209.

Dust Devils Softball
SOFTBALL is a game resembling baseball that is played on a
smaller diamond, with a larger ball, and it is pitched underhand. There are 9
players on a softball team. This sport was invented in Chicago in 1888 as an indoor game. It has had various
names over the years including indoor baseball, playground ball, kitten ball,
and, because it was also played by women, ladies' baseball. The name softball
was given to the game in 1926.
It is popular as an amateur sport in the U.S., and has grown in popularity outside of North America over the last 50 years.

Types of
Softball....There are two types
of softball recreational softball, and travel/select softball.
| The recreational league
is a more relaxed, less competitive environment. This league is divided into
t-ball, coach pitch and competitive divisions with each division created based
on age.
The travel/select division requires that children
tryout for a position on the team. Skill level is very high in these leagues
and competition is tough. In this league your child's skills will improve
substantially simply because of the competition, dedication and
practice. |

Coach Pitch ages 6-8 $ 85.00
Minors ages 9-10 $ 135.00

Dust Devils Softball Needs your support
We would like to introduce ourselves and to request a sponsorship or donation from your business. We are Dust Devils Softball Little League formally Sant Tan Valley, We have taken over this league. We offer many different levels of divisions such as t-ball, coach pitch, minors, majors, juniors and seniors. Dust Devils Softball offers a great program to young women in the community to help them grow and develop their skills in softball and in life.
Some of the concepts and functions the young ladies will earn and improve on are: Batting, Running, Hand Eye Coordination and Throwing, confidence, Team Work, Communication, Ethics, Sportsmanship, Fair Play, and Leadership.
The Dust Devils Softball Little League Board of Directors has worked hard to develop a new sponsorship and giving system that can fit any need of a business. There are sponsorship opportunities that Begin as low as $ 150.00 to $ 1000.00. There are also opportunities to give raffle and auction prizes as well. There are many opportunities to brand your company in the community and get your business recognized. Opportunities to brand your business come in the form of names on jerseys, visors, website, and banners, We have implemented a new banner advertising system this year. We are starting to increase our website presence by offering more on-line incentives for our participants, the website will have a new sponor page that will be linked to the home page. We will also offer an annual calendar event and profirl page. We are working to drive more traffic to the website for your benfits. The league also encourages our participants to support the businesses that support us. Dust Devils Softball can also work with your business to set up league and sponsor nights.
We are a 100% vounteer board that take no compensation and all monies receided by league are used for the benefit of the league of the State of Arizona. Registration information: Our home fields for the Spring 2013 Season: Bimghall Jounior High School, and Patterson Elemetary School
Inter-league Play:
We want to provide the players to have the best opportunity to learn and a great experience. Dust Devils Softball Little League recognizes that there are other leagues in this area which may provide us with the opportunity to inter-league with tea...ms from neighboring communities (little Leagues in the Phoenix Metro Area - i.e. Chandler, Ahwatukee, and/or Old Scottsdale as well as Casa Grande). Every effort is made when scheduling inter-league games to make the most efficient use of your travel and playing time. Whenever possible, "away games" will be double-headers to minimize travel for all teams.
Uniforms
Dust Devils Softball Little League provides a shirt and hat to all of the players that individually register for Dust Devils Softball.
Volunteering
Volunteering is an important part of any youth league. All of the board members are volunteers and put in as much time and effort as is humanly possible to make this league a success; however, we cannot do it alone. We ask that every family help by donating as little as 2 hours of volunteer time during the course of each season. Our success depends upon all of us working together as a team.
Practice Fields
Individual teams are responsible for locating their own practice fields. It is the coach's responsibility to arrange for practice fields. We will do our best as a league to help locate practice locations and make suggestions upon request. We do offer practice time at a cost to the team that has to be paid before your practice time.
